Diamond Ground 2% Ceriated Tungsten Electrode

Package of 10- 7 inch 2% ceriated tungsten electrode. Performs well in DC welding and arc starting at low current settings, and can be used proficiently in AC processes. Ceriated tungsten is recommended for short welding cycles on low-amp, DC orbital tube, pipe, thin sheet and small part applications. Provides excellent low current and arc ignition with good arc stability. This tungsten is not recommended for higher heat applications. The cerium tends to migrate very quickly to the heat at the tip of the electrode.

    Diamond Ground is good

    newbie tig welder for several years. going through all of the steps to improve the weld seam.

    hand grind my tungstens & have purchased a lot of tungsten manufacturers except for Diamond Ground . . . .

    until now.

    this is good stuff.

    cuts easily with cutoff wheel with no splintering.

    grinds beautifully smooth on my 6" flat face diamond wheel.

    don't find near the residue trace on the periphery of the rod above the taper.

    the first time I ground this manufacturer's product it was really noticeable

    how smooth the wheel & metal met each other - hard to explain but my fingers

    felt the improvement over past tungsten from other manufacturers.

    Weldcraft 2% ceriated tungsten

    Seem to perform well with inverters

    Able to weld aluminum without tungsten balling excessively
